GAppsのGmail2.0化

ずーーーーーーーーーーーーーーっと待ってたんだけど、Gmail2.0に更新されない。

久しぶりにググって見たら、あるブログのコメント欄にナイスな情報を見つけた。

If you want Gmail 2.0 on your GApps account, you need to go into your Dashboard and check and save ― “Turn on new application features to my domain before they are rolled out to all Google Apps customers” ― on your Domain settings page.

そ、そうか。管理者権限で隠されたオプションスイッチをONにしないといけなかったのかーーー。

というわけで、自分のGappsの管理者ページのDomain Settingsのところで、ポチッとしてきた。

でもすぐに切り変わるわけではないようだ。

And post a message there asking that Google actually “turn on” Gmail 2.0 for your account. The change process doesn’t appear to be automatic and all the 2.0 changeovers appear to be done my Google’s manual hand.

Googleの中の人が手動で設定を反映してくれるのを待てと。
それを催促するために、Google Groupsのとあるグループに参加して、メッセージを送れと。
そんなことが書いてある。

いや、ばかな。天下のグーグルが、そんなベタなやり方で運用するわけが...。

と思ってたら、続くコメント欄に

I’ve got it enabled in one of my three Apps accounts ― and I didn’t post anything to the Google Group so I guess I just got lucky…

とあった。

やっぱ、このまま放っておけば、その内反映されるのかな。
